Structural Design Lead

Purpose / Objective:

You will play a crucial role in leading and managing the structural design of complex mixed-use development projects from inception to completion.

This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse and challenging projects and contribute to the growth and development of infrastructure portfolios.

Responsibility:

  • Project Leadership: Lead and manage structure design of complex mixed-use design projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to design standards, budgets, and timelines.
  • Design Management: Evaluate and review structural designs, drawings, and specifications for compliance with building codes, standards, and project requirements. Identify potential design issues and propose innovative solutions to optimize structural performance and efficiency.
  • Coordination: Collaborate with external consultants and internal project teams to ensure seamless integration of structural designs into overall project plans. Participate in interdisciplinary meetings to coordinate design changes and resolve any conflicts that may arise during the construction process.
  • Value Engineering: Undertake value engineering for all projects to optimize the design proposed by consultants.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, conveying complex technical information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Stay abreast of relevant building codes, industry standards, and regulatory requirements affecting structural design.
  • Quality Assurance: Implement and maintain quality assurance processes to guarantee the accuracy and reliability of structural designs.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with community members, government agencies, and stakeholders to gather input, build consensus, and address concerns.

*Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in Civil or Structural Engineering + Master's degree in Structural Engineering
  • Years of experience in the Hospitality-led mixed-use development, Retail, and Business Park industry.
