Chief Structural Engineering Specialist

As a senior structural design engineer, you will play a key role in delivering projects from inception through completion. The ideal candidate should have core design experience of 8+ years in the design of concrete/steel structures.

• Hands on experience in analysis and design of reinforced concrete structures like high-rises, stadiums, airports, malls, Culverts, Tanks etc.
• Knowledge of international Codes and Standards is essential for this role.
• Understanding of loads & load paths is crucial for the success of the team.
• Seismic and Wind load parameters with applicable design approaches must be well understood.
• Ability to coordinate and negotiate structural requirements with other trades.
• Leading a team of junior engineers and technicians to deliver quality drawings and documents is also a key responsibility.
• Preparation of technical reports, presentations, bill of quantities & review shop drawings are part of the job.
• Aware of quality procedures & technical report writing skills.
• Good interpersonal skills and communication skills in English are required.
• Should be open for short travel and deputation to other countries/offices, when required.
• Exposure to construction techniques and practices in middle east.
• Ability to estimate, plan and implement design programs to meet project requirements and deadlines.
• Ability to read and comprehend drawings of other trades – Architectural, MEP, transportation etc.
• Formulate and make excel sheets or prepare programs to facilitate routine tasks in analysis & design.
• Troubleshoot and resolve structural engineering problems encountered during design process.

• Experience in analysis design of steel frames/components in buildings like high-rises, stadiums, pedestrian bridges, airports, malls, industrial sheds etc.
• Knowledge of international Codes and Standards is essential for this role.
• Understanding of loads & load paths is crucial for the success of the team.
• Able to handle proposals, prepare scope documentation.
• Attend Client meetings, defend structural design.
• Delegating and leading a team of engineers and technicians to deliver quality drawings and documents.
• Estimate, plan and deploy resources to match project requirements to meet deadlines. & aware of quality procedures.
• Preparation of Specifications, technical reports, presentations, bill of quantities & review shop drawings.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills in English are required.
• Should be open for short travel and deputation to other countries/offices, when required.
• Technical report writing skills.
• Construction site experience will be an added advantage.
• Anticipate Architectural, MEP requirements and plan structure system accordingly avoiding abortive works.
• Troubleshoot and resolve structural engineering problems encountered during design process.
• Mentorship for freshers/ juniors.
• Stay updated on the latest industry trends.

• Core design experience of 8+ years in design of concrete/steel structures.
• Good experience of using software like ETABS, SAFE, SAP etc.
• Knowledge of Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD.
• Work experience in Gulf countries with international codes preferred.
• Rhino, Grasshopper, python etc. will be an added advantage.
• PT design with software like RAM concept will be preferred.

• Bachelor/master's degree in structural engineering from reputed institute preferably through GATE qualification.
