Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Raw Material Inventory Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in inventory management and be able to manage, monitor, and control raw material inventory in compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.

The successful candidate will ensure the timely availability of raw materials, accurate record keeping, and adherence to safety and quality standards. They will also be responsible for managing day-to-day operations of the raw material store including receipt, storage, issuance, and record maintenance.

In addition, the Raw Material Inventory Specialist will ensure all raw materials are properly labeled, identified, and stored as per SOPs and regulatory requirements. They will conduct regular stock verification, cycle counts, and reconciliation of physical vs. system stock.

The ideal candidate will also be able to coordinate with Procurement, Production, and Quality teams to ensure timely availability of raw materials without disruption. They will maintain FIFO/FEFO system for material issuance and monitor storage conditions (temperature, humidity, cleanliness) to maintain material quality.

Furthermore, the Raw Material Inventory Specialist will ensure compliance with ISO, GMP, and other regulatory requirements for raw material handling. They will manage documentation including GRNs, stock registers, bin cards, and SAP/ERP entries.

The successful candidate will also identify slow-moving, non-moving, or expired raw materials and coordinate for proper disposal as per guidelines. They will support audits (internal/external) by ensuring documentation accuracy and store readiness.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Graduate/Diploma in Supply Chain/Logistics/Science/Commerce or related field.
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in raw material store management (preferably in pharmaceuticals/medical devices/ manufacturing industry).
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems (SAP/Oracle/Tally or equivalent).
  • Knowledge of inventory management techniques (FIFO, FEFO, JIT).
  • Strong understanding of ISO 13485, GMP, and regulatory compliance related to raw material handling.
