The role of Key Controls Assurance Specialist will support the development of testing methodologies for critical key controls across global businesses.

This position focuses on assurance activities over resiliency material and critical controls testing, with potential to move into other operational risk domains.

  • Develop and execute controls testing plans
  • Communicate, agree upon, and monitor gaps in controls in line with risk management processes

Collaboration with assurance functions across first, second, and third lines of defense is essential.

This role also supports the development of testing methodologies, risk universe, and integrated reporting.

Responsibilities:
  • Support the development of assurance planning as part of operational risk management
  • Plan and execute control tests, including coordinating review process with stakeholders, managing analysts, reviewing quality of work performed, and ensuring alignment with testing methodology
  • Prepare draft reports reflecting results of work performed and advise business on appropriate solutions and remediation activities
  • Present results to senior management to gain buy-in and agreement to action
  • Coordinate activities throughout review lifecycle with senior stakeholders
  • Collaborate with Data Analytics team to identify opportunities for converting manual testing into analytics-based testing and continuous assurance activity
  • Support issue remediation and validation of evidence before issue closure
  • Provide feedback to teams on learnings identified during control testing

A bachelor's degree and 4+ years' experience in information security controls assurance or IT audit are required. Experience in data analytics or continuous monitoring is desirable.
