This full-time role for a Communication Specialist involves providing tailored therapy sessions, addressing swallowing disorders, and treating communication and language impairments to improve patients' quality of life through effective therapy.

  • Deliver one-on-one therapy sessions to patients with diverse communication and language needs
  • Treat individuals with dysphagia and other swallowing disorders
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop patient care strategies
  • Assess patient requirements and progress, adjusting therapy plans accordingly
  • Develop and implement programs to educate patients and caregivers about communication and language skills
  • Participate in staff training initiatives to stay updated on best practices

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Master's or Doctoral degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field
  • Current licensure/certification in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Experience working with adults and children with various communication and language disorders
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Experience working with patients with complex medical conditions
  • Knowledge of audiological testing procedures
  • Experience working with hearing aids and assistive listening devices
