Job Title: Strategic Technology Lead
Role Overview:
The successful candidate will be a key enabler in the project team, driving technical delivery goals forward. This role is responsible for ensuring high-quality code and functional/non-functional quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analysis and Design: Assist developers in understanding problems before the build starts, helping with problem decomposition.
- Provide ad-hoc consultations for developers and pair-work when necessary to analyze work inefficiencies and remove technical blockers.
- Collaborate with internal and client subject matter experts (SMEs) to deliver complex data mapping solutions for migrations.
- Specify and direct developers to find and reuse existing solutions for their builds and design code for future reusability.
- Help break large build items into sub-items for efficient progress tracking.
- Take an active role in understanding business domains and contributing to requirements gathering.
Technical Leadership:
- Supervise technical quality through pair-work, ad-hoc reviews, code reviews, and spot-checks.
- Give fast, continuous feedback to developers as their build progresses.
- Support regression testing by teaching and encouraging developers to write automated tests and unit tests.
Requirements:
- Industry Knowledge:
- A first-class bachelor's degree or higher and/or equivalent experience.
- Experience working on large-scale technology delivery projects and successfully delivering technology change.
- Leadership Skills:
- Confident leadership in a delivery-focused environment.
- Experience working with different levels of stakeholders within a project environment.
- Expertise:
- Expert in Microsoft .NET development products, including .NET, C#, and SQL Server.
- Expert in web development, including ASP.NET, JavaScript, and ReactJS.
- Experience with legacy development products would be beneficial.
