High-Rise HVAC Systems Design Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Senior Design Manager to lead the design and implementation of high-rise residential, commercial, and hospitality projects. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of ASHRAE/ISHRAE standards and a proven track record of designing efficient and effective HVAC systems.

The Senior Design Manager will be responsible for creating intricate and vibrant experiences with depth and character, crafted with passion and sensitivity.

1. Design and Implementation: Lead the design and implementation of high-rise residential, commercial, and hospitality projects.
2. HVAC System Design: Calculate heating and cooling needs, propose energy-saving designs, and determine budgetary costs.
3. Collaboration and Communication: Coordinate with architects and other discipline engineers to ensure seamless design integration.
4. Quality Control: Monitor progress and quality of drawings in Revit and CAD till GFC stage.
5. Documentation: Prepare detailed input for Jr. engineers and drafting engineers for quality drawings.
6. Discrepancy Resolution: Prepare list of requirements/discrepancies in arch/structural drawings and inform to architect within 2 working days.
7. Concept Design: Concept design based on final arch drawings.
8. Document Preparation: Preparation of documents for sanction purpose as per codes and local norms.
9. Design Review Meetings: Attending design review meetings.
10. Signoff Obtention: Obtain signoff on concept design before proceeding to detail design.
11. Design Brief Report: Preparation of Design Brief report.
12. Detail Design: Detail design as per approved concept and scheme.
13. Drawing Checking: Checking of drawings along with checklist.
14. Drawings Submission: Submit drawings as per commitments.
15. Equipment Layouts: Prepare HVAC duct routes and Equipment layouts in Revit/BIM.
16. Duct Route Detailing: Detailing of duct routes, BOM preparation in Revit/BIM.
17. Drawings Preparation: Preparation of all HVAC drawings using REVIT/BIM software.
18. Tender Drawings: Preparation of BOQ/estimate/technical specification/approved make along with takeoff sheets.
19. Tender Evaluation: Prepare tender drawings, specifications, BOM for floating tenders.
20. Vendor Rating: Technical evaluation of tenders and rating/recommendation of vendors.
21. Quality Inspection: Conduct quality checks and inspections at site during different stages of construction.
22. Certification: Obtain LEED/IGBC certification for the building.
23. Shop Drawing Review: Review of shop drawing and technical data sheet.
24. Documentation Maintenance: Maintain documentation of all design materials and drawings.
25. Handover Inspection: Handing over inspection as per requirements.
26. Software Utilization: Use specialized software to create design and drawings of products.
27. Maintenance Booklet: Preparation of equipment manual/maintenance booklet for site team.
28. As-Built Drawings: Develop As-Built drawings with in-house team.Construction Administration:
    1. Evaluation and Oversight: Evaluate test reports and oversee construction of HVAC systems of all projects.
    2. Equipment and Material Submittals: Review equipment and material submittals.
    3. Issue Resolution: Assist and resolve HVAC issues during/after construction.
    4. Site Visits: Complete construction visits and address issues with regard to HVAC systems.
    Compliance:

• Standard Compliance: Comply with all relevant standards and procedures.
• Project Timeline Compliance: Ensure compliance with project timeline.

• Team Collaboration: Communicate and coordinate with teams and departments to aid in architectural and engineering design.
• Interdepartmental Engagement: Engage with other teams during the design and construction period.

• Candidate Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering with 10+ years experience OR Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering with 7+ years experience.
• Software Proficiency: Working knowledge of Revit.
