We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer with hands-on coding expertise in Python and Pyspark to help implement an application for a large retailer. The ideal candidate will have strong skills in Telemetry, Big Data, and backend engineering, as well as domain experience in IoT systems, HVAC/refrigeration equipment, and other mechanical solutions.

Required Skills & Experience
  • 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer with a proven track record of success in delivering high-quality data solutions.
  • Expertise in Python, Pyspark, and SQL with the ability to write efficient and scalable code.
  • Hands-on experience with Big Data technologies, including GCP, to design and implement data pipelines and architectures.
  • Strong understanding of Telemetry and its applications in real-time data processing and analytics.
  • Ability to work directly with business partners to implement feedback and drive business outcomes.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

  • Strong understanding of IoT systems, especially in refrigeration units, HVAC systems, controllers, and sensors.
  • Familiarity with equipment and systems from Emerson, Honeywell, or similar companies.
  • Ability to explain how data flows through IoT units and how sensors are designed and monitored.
