Job Overview:
We are seeking an Electronics Hardware Specialist to join our team at NorthStar HR Consultants. As a key member of our farm automation group, you will play a vital role in designing and developing cutting-edge electronic hardware solutions for our electric vehicles and computer vision systems.

About the Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for creating hardware designs that meet environmental, EMI/EMC, thermal, shock & vibration standards. This includes conducting tolerance analysis, part stress analysis, circuit analysis, functional safety analysis, safety hazard analysis, hardware to software interface, and design FMEAs. You will also collaborate with cross-functional engineering groups, manufacturing, quality, product support, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products.

Responsibilities:
• Design embedded system hardware, develop, test, debug, and optimize electronics hardware components
• Create specifications, architecture, component selection & sizing for hardware designs
• Conduct and document tolerance analysis, part stress analysis, circuit analysis, functional safety analysis, safety hazard analysis, hardware to software interface, and design FMEAs
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project requirements and deliver high-quality products on time
• Perform value analysis/value engineering to provide cost-effective electronic hardware solutions
• Prepare technical reports and conduct design reviews with stakeholders
• Bring up hardware, perform debugging, write unit tests, and ensure proper functionality

Requirements:
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in embedded system design (electronics hardware development)
• BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent with evidence of exceptional ability
• Strong experience with circuit analysis, schematic design, PCB layout, and manufacturing
• Working experience with MCU circuit design required, EV components like BMS, Charger, DCDC converters highly preferred
• Knowledge of design guidelines for EMC/EMI standards, thermal analysis, and design
• Solid background in EE fundamentals - circuit analysis and design
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts and collaborate with teams
