Job Summary: The English Language Skills Coach provides expert guidance and support to students aiming to improve their English language proficiency. This includes advising on effective study strategies, test preparation, and offering customized advice to achieve desired scores.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Language Coaching: Advise students on English language skills development, including listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Conduct one-on-one coaching sessions to understand student needs and goals. Assist students in identifying their strengths and weaknesses in English language skills.
  • Test Preparation: Provide information on study materials, courses, and resources for English language proficiency tests. Organize and conduct English language proficiency workshops, seminars, and mock tests. Monitor and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback and tailored coaching plans.
  • Administrative Support: Guide students through the English language registration process, including selecting test dates and locations. Maintain accurate records of student interactions, progress, and test results. Assist with visa application processes and other documentation related to studying abroad, if applicable.
  • Communication and Coordination: Collaborate with educational institutions, language schools, and other stakeholders to support student success. Keep up-to-date with changes in English language tests formats, policies, and procedures. Communicate effectively with students, parents, and educators through various channels (email, phone, in-person).
  • Professional Development: Stay informed about the latest trends and best practices in English language teaching and coaching. Attend training sessions, workshops, and conferences to enhance coaching skills and knowledge.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Education, English, Linguistics, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
  • Experience: Previous experience in academic coaching, teaching English as a second language, or working in educational consulting is advantageous.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of English language proficiency tests and their components. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to assess student needs and tailor advice accordingly. Proficiency in using educational technology and online resources. Organizational skills to manage multiple students and administrative tasks efficiently.
