Legal Manager Job Description:

About the Role:

The Legal Manager will be responsible for managing a wide range of legal matters, including contract drafting, review and negotiation. They will ensure that all contracts are compliant with applicable laws and internal policies.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Draft, review and negotiate supply agreements, service agreements, EPC agreements, O&M agreements, tender and bidding documents, HR and admin-related service contracts, transmission and utility contracts, international contracts, NDAs, MOUs, standard T&Cs and financing contracts.
  • Ensure legal and commercial risk mitigation, compliance with applicable laws and alignment with internal policies.
  • Provide detailed legal opinions and guidance on diverse matters including bidding strategy and compliance, Right of Way (RoW) and land acquisition, Transmission Service Agreements (TSAs), Share Purchase Agreements (SPAs), indemnity claims and contractual payment disputes.
  • Conduct land-related legal due diligence and title verification for project development, assess risks associated with land procurement and RoW.
  • Review final bid submissions for infrastructure projects, handle bid-related legal queries and provide prompt clarifications to the bidding team to ensure timely and accurate submissions.
  • Engage in direct negotiations with external stakeholders and counterparties, finalize contracts by ensuring favourable legal positioning while maintaining business objectives.
