Business Development Manager
We are seeking an experienced business leader to spearhead the growth of our Indian commercial operations.
This high-impact role will involve expanding strategic partnerships, leading a team, and driving long-term sustainability through value-based selling and client relationship building.
The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the API industry, excellent client-facing skills, and a strategic growth mindset.
Main Responsibilities:
- Lead strategic initiatives in India, managing a team across commercial, technical, and support functions.
- Drive business expansion through identifying new opportunities in oncology, injectables, and other high-value API segments.
- Build strong relationships with key pharmaceutical clients, including C-suite and VP-level stakeholders.
- Act as a bridge between Indian operations and global business development teams.
- Travel for business development, client meetings, and international collaboration.
Qualifications:
- 10–15 years of leadership experience in the API/pharmaceutical industry, including senior commercial or general management roles.
- Proven success in managing international API client relationships.
- Strong knowledge of the API development lifecycle, particularly in oncology and injectables.
- Excellent business acumen, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Able to travel up to 60% within India and internationally.
