Co-Founder - Finance & Operations

We are seeking a seasoned finance and operations leader to spearhead our company's growth and expansion.

Job Description:

About Our Mission:

We aim to bridge the gap between young people, fostering meaningful connections offline. Our platform will facilitate various activities, from book clubs and debates to startup brainstorming and volunteering. The mission is clear: help young people reconnect with each other in real life.

Your Role:

As Co-Founder - Finance & Operations, you will lead our financial strategy, fundraising, and operational scale-up. You'll ensure we have the necessary resources, systems, and processes to grow sustainably from Day 1.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Finance & Fundraising:
    • Develop and manage financial models (unit economics, CAC/LTV, marketplace liquidity).
    • Lead fundraising efforts: prepare investor materials, create pitch decks, and manage financial modelling and investor relations.
    • BUILD robust financial systems: accounting, compliance, reporting, unit economics, CAC/LTV analysis.
    • Oversee compliance, accounting, and corporate governance.
  • Marketplace Operations:
    • Design and execute a marketplace operations playbook
    • Develop operational processes for venue partnerships, equipment rentals, and event logistics.
    • Balance marketplace liquidity: ensuring enough hosts & events to meet attendee demand.
    • BUILD trust & safety operations: dispute resolution, refunds, and community guidelines.
  • Scaling & Partnerships:
    • Oversee legal & compliance frameworks: contracts, NDAs, corporate structure, MCA compliance.
    • Forge partnerships with venues, service providers, and student organizations.
    • Develop KPI dashboards: event volume, ticket sales, host retention, repeat attendance.
    • Hire and manage community managers and operational staff as we grow.

Requirements:

  • Strong background in finance, consulting, or startup operations.
  • Prior experience in marketplaces or consumer platforms is a plus.
  • Comfort managing logistics, partnerships, and customer support.
  • Strategic thinker who can also roll up their sleeves in early execution.
  • Passion for building communities and scaling people-first businesses.
