Senior Specialist in Environmental Science

As a Senior Specialist, you will be working on various projects in the natural resource sector with a focus on water quality and environmental data screening, management, and statistical analysis. You will support project teams in preparing written and graphical material for reports and presentations, and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to complete environmental impact assessments and monitoring programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with teams across the company, including aquatics, toxicology, geochemistry, and hydrology;
  • Support project teams with preparing written and graphical material for reports and presentations;
  • Develop and implement solutions to complex environmental problems;
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior team members;

Requirements:

  • University degree (preferably MSc or PhD) in environmental science, environmental engineering, or geochemistry;
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills;
  • Technical skills in water quality assessment and analysis;
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and experience using data management software such as PowerBI;
  • Experience with computer programming in Python, R, and VB is an asset;
  • Ability to multi-task, maintain flexibility, and work independently;
