Occupational Health Manager Job
We are looking for a skilled Occupational Health Manager to lead our factory's health and safety services. This role will ensure compliance with statutory regulations, promote employee well-being, and manage medical emergencies and preventive health programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct pre-employment, periodic, and exit medical examinations to assess employees' fitness for work.
- Provide immediate care and treatment for workplace injuries and illnesses in accordance with established protocols.
- Supervise and manage the Occupational Health Centre and its staff to maintain high standards of care.
- Ensure full compliance with relevant laws and regulations, including the Factories Act, 1948 and Tamil Nadu Factories Rules.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and submit required reports to stakeholders.
- Participate actively in health and safety committees and audits to identify areas for improvement.
- Develop and implement effective health awareness and disease prevention programs to promote a healthy work environment.
- Advise management on occupational health risks and mitigation strategies to minimize hazards.
- Monitor and maintain high standards of hygiene and sanitation across the factory premises.
Qualifications & Experience:
- MBBS degree from a recognized university plus Associate Fellow of Industrial Health (AFIH) certification.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial/occupational health settings, with a proven track record of managing health and safety programs.
