Financial Operations Specialist

This role involves supporting a financial client by managing various finance operations.

  • Reconciliations and attestations are performed daily, weekly, and monthly to support trade operations and settlements.
  • Accounting and financial reporting are managed in compliance with US GAAP, IFRS, or IndAS standards.
  • Processes, policies, procedures, and control frameworks for finance operations are set up.
  • Financial statements and related disclosures are prepared for trading or broker-dealer operations.
  • Collaboration occurs with trading, operations, and external consultants to ensure accurate financial outcomes.
  • Legal entities are managed with respect to closing, audits, and statutory requirements.
  • Subject-matter expertise is built across accounting, reporting, and regulatory functions.
  • Multiple finance functions are supported as needed, including accounting, treasury, settlements, and reporting.
  • ERP systems (NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, etc.) are maintained and accurate financial data management is ensured.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • An accounting graduate with a professional accounting certification (CA, CPA, or equivalent) is required.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in banking, broker-dealer, or trading environments are necessary.
  • A strong knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP reporting standards is essential.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems (NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, etc.) and financial instruments is required.
  • An understanding of end-to-end trade flows, settlement, and market-making dynamics is necessary.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and financial analysis is required.
  • Detail-oriented, analytical, and self-motivated individuals with strong communication skills are preferred.
  • Interest in fintech, blockchain, and digital assets is a plus.
