Job Opportunity: Java Technical Support Expert
The Performance Engineering Manager will be responsible for leading the management and resolution of critical issues for the Technical Support team focusing on application performance, availability, and scalability.
This is a customer-facing role requiring strong interpersonal skills in addition to technical expertise, including the ability to rapidly understand complex systems and utilize tools like BigData, Splunk, and Grafana to analyze metrics and identify trends on transactional throughput, memory, CPU, job processing, and disk utilization.
To address outages or enhance application performance, you will apply database optimization techniques to directly tune the database, add indexes, maintain tables and data, and understand execution plans to recommend optimized queries.
You will also review Java application code to identify and rectify performance concerns and collaborate with internal teams (Development, Infrastructure, Networking, Hardware) to reproduce performance issues and determine root cause analysis.
