Manufacturing Quality Assurance Specialist

Key Responsibilities:
  • Quality System Development and Maintenance:
    • Develop, implement, and maintain a quality management system to ensure compliance with industry standards.
    • Establish and document procedures, work instructions, and standards for quality control and assurance.
  • Quality Planning and Process Control:
    • Interpret engineering drawings and GD&T to develop actionable quality control plans.
    • Develop inspection plans for raw materials, in-process, and final inspections.
    • Implement Statistical Process Control (SPC) using statistical methods and control charts to monitor key process variables.
  • Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Actions:
    • Conduct root cause analysis using problem-solving methodologies to identify underlying defects.
    • Implement corrective actions to fix current problems and prevent future recurrence.
  • Inspection and Metrology:
    • Perform hands-on inspection of parts using manual tools and advanced equipment.
    • Operate and program sophisticated machinery like CMMs to measure complex geometries and tight tolerances.
    • Ensure surface roughness meets specifications using profilometers.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Analyze quality data to identify trends and lead initiatives for product quality and process efficiency enhancements.
