Senior Recovery Specialist

The Senior Recovery Specialist plays a pivotal role in ensuring timely recovery of high-value and complex accounts. This position demands strong analytical skills to identify at-risk accounts early, combining negotiation prowess with an astute approach to credit risk assessment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collections Management: Handle a portfolio of priority accounts with overdue balances, focusing on maximum recovery.
  • Credit Risk Monitoring: Analyze payment history and account behavior to detect early warning signs of potential defaults.
  • Evidence-Based Decision Making: Collaborate with the legal team on accounts requiring formal recovery actions or notices.
  • Talent Development: Mentor junior collection specialists by sharing expertise on collection strategies, risk flags, and client engagement techniques.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree preferred; diploma or relevant certification in finance, business, or collections is beneficial.
  • Experience: 3–5 years in collections, receivables management, or credit control, with exposure to credit risk assessment.
  • Negotiation, Analytical, and Conflict Resolution Skills: Ability to negotiate effectively, analyze complex situations, and resolve conflicts in a professional manner.
  • Multitasking and Adaptability: Capacity to manage multiple priorities under pressure and adapt to changing situations.
