**Job Overview**

  • We are seeking an experienced professional to lead our business development efforts and drive client acquisition. The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing new SME clients and building strong relationships with existing ones.

**Responsibilities**

  1. Business Development & Client Acquisition: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, develop and execute strategies to acquire new clients and expand existing relationships.
  2. Relationship Management: Foster and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.
  3. Credit Assessment: Conduct thorough credit assessments, understanding financials, preparing credit analysis, and coordinating with credit teams.
  4. Product Knowledge: Stay up-to-date on our product offerings, including SME loans, working capital, term loans, trade finance, and overdrafts.
  5. Portfolio Management: Monitor account performance, identify renewal opportunities, and provide early warning signals for potential issues.
  6. Cross-selling: Promote other bank products and services, such as CASA, insurance, and treasury solutions, to enhance customer value.
  7. Market & Industry Awareness: Stay informed about market trends, competitor activity, and sector developments to make informed decisions.
  8. Negotiation & Communication Skills: Effectively communicate with clients, negotiate deals, and handle queries in a professional and courteous manner.

**Requirements**

  • Strong business development and client acquisition skills.
  • Excellent relationship management and communication skills.
  • Ability to conduct thorough credit assessments and prepare credit analysis.
  • Knowledge of SME loans, working capital, term loans, trade finance, and overdrafts.
  • Experience in portfolio management, including monitoring account performance and identifying renewal opportunities.
  • Ability to promote other bank products and services through cross-selling.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
