
Strategic Business Development Manager

Overview:
As a key member of the Business Development team, you will drive market strategy and technical innovation for state government and educational institutions. You will be responsible for generating leads at scale and closing business.
- Responsible for developing and qualifying leads at scale and closing business deals.
- Serve as a key member of the Business Development team in helping to drive market strategy and technical innovation for state government and educational institutions.
- Participate in procurement processes through tenders and RFPs.
- Position and empanel AWS services on rate contracts with State nodal bodies.
- Help define target markets, including universities, research institutes, nodal agencies, and industry verticals.
- Set a strategic business development plan for target markets and ensure it aligns with the company's strategic direction.
- Execute the strategic business development plan while working with internal stakeholders, such as business development teams, proposal teams, service teams, legal, support, etc.
Requirements:
- 12 years of experience in technology platform sales, with a strong understanding of government IT, data centers, cloud services, and cloud adoption.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
- Excellent communication and engagement skills at C-level.
- Must have an understanding of government procurement procedures.
- Ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations.
The ideal candidate will possess both a business background that enables them to drive engagement and interact at a high level, as well as a technical background that enables them to easily interact with software developers and architects.
They should have a consistent track record of business performance, demonstrated ability to think strategically and analytically about business, product, and technical challenges, and the ability to build and convey compelling value propositions.
