Job Description:
The Sales Director will lead and direct the sales team to meet or exceed sales revenue, sales profitability, and budgetary objectives. This role involves strategic planning, managing people, selling, leveraging technology, and improving processes.
Sales Strategy and Planning:
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve organizational sales goals and revenues.
- Set sales targets and ensure they are met by the sales team.
- Analyze sales data to identify market trends and areas for improvement.
Team Leadership and Development:
- Recruit, hire, and train sales staff.
- Mentor and coach the sales team to improve their performance.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback.
Customer Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships.
- Partner with customers to understand their business needs and objectives.
- Ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs and objectives.
Sales Operations Management:
- Manage the sales administration process, including sales order processing, invoicing, and customer service.
- Monitor and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) and sales metrics.
- Utilize CRM software to manage sales pipelines and customer data.
Market Analysis and Development:
- Conduct market research and analysis to create detailed business plans on commercial opportunities, expansion, business development, etc.
- Identify new market opportunities and develop new customer bases.
- Monitor competitors and evaluate market trends to position the company's products and services effectively.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Sales Manager or similar role, preferably in industry.
- Strong leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to manage and motivate a team.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
