Public Affairs Specialist Role

This is a full-time position for a Public Affairs Specialist located in Delhi. The individual will manage the organization's communication with the public, media and institutions/agencies while supporting policy initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement strategic communication programs that advance organizational goals and public understanding.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for media inquiries, prepare press releases, respond to public and press questions, and monitor media coverage of agency activities.
  • Represent the organization at institutions, policy makers, civic, and community meetings.
  • Provide advisory support to management on policy formulation, assess potential public reactions to proposed actions, and assist in articulating policy statements.
  • Prepare informative materials such as newsletters, brochures, presentations, social media content, and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Conduct research, analyze public opinion and regulatory trends, and present findings to senior leaders.
  • Organize outreach activities, educational initiatives, facility tours, public events, and emergency preparedness communications.
  • Monitor public and media perceptions, recommend improvements for communication effectiveness, and report findings to management.

Requirements include excellent written and verbal communication skills for public, media, and internal audiences. Strategic thinking and advocacy skills are necessary to drive organizational interests in complex stakeholder environments. Additionally, ability to analyze, interpret, and present information in ways that foster understanding and build support for agency policies is required.

Qualifications and Skills:
  • MBA/Management in Public Affairs or related educational experience/certifications.
  • Project management and event coordination abilities for public outreach and educational programming.
