HVAC Design Engineer Job Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced HVAC Design Engineer to join our team.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement mechanical systems, equipment selections, specifications, and other related processes for commercial, industrial, and domestic projects.
  • Create detailed technical construction drawings, calculations, and specifications for mechanical systems to ensure installations conform to standards, codes, and customer requirements using computer-assisted engineering software.
  • Perform detailed calculations, prepare technical specifications, sequence of operations, and details for projects based on customer requirements and existing conditions.
  • Knowledge of building codes including NYC Building Code, International Codes, Mechanical Code, Energy Code, NFPA Standards, and ASHRAE Standards.
  • Review design concepts, calculations, drawings for accuracy, code compliance, and customer requirements.
  • Examine engineering submittals, shop drawings, and construction administration procedures for quick turnaround during project construction phase.
  • Develop training modules, calculation procedures, and company tools used in design and execution. Train young engineers to adhere to standards and improve performance.
  • Collaborate with clients, project managers, and vendors to ensure timely delivery of projects according to schedule and requirements.
  • Estimate costs and create bills of materials based on design concepts.

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of experience
  • Proficient in Revit and AutoCAD
  • Experience working with building services
  • International project experience, preferably in the US
  • Team handling experience
