Job Opportunity

We are seeking an HVAC Design Engineer to join our team in the onshore oil and gas sector. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of MEP coordination, energy efficiency, and HVAC system optimization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop comprehensive HVAC systems including heating, cooling, ventilation, and air distribution systems.
  • Perform heat load calculations, cooling load calculations, and airflow analysis using industry-standard software like HAP, Trace 700, or Carrier E-20.
  • Select and size HVAC equipment (chillers, AHUs, FCUs, heat exchangers, pumps, etc.) based on project requirements and specifications.
  • Develop detailed ductwork layouts, piping designs, and control systems using AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and Navisworks.
  • Evaluate designs for compliance with ASHRAE, SMACNA, NFPA, and local building codes.
  • Analyze and optimize HVAC systems for cost-effectiveness and sustainability.
  • Collaborate with MEP engineers, architects, and contractors for seamless system integration.
  • Prepare technical reports, specifications, and design documentation for project approvals and implementation.
  • Support project execution by providing technical guidance during installation, commissioning, and testing.

Requirements & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in HVAC design and engineering is essential.
  • Proficiency in HVAC design software, such as HAP, Trace 700, Revit MEP, AutoCAD, and Carrier E-20, is mandatory.
  • Strong knowledge of duct and pipe sizing, psychrometrics, and refrigeration cycles is necessary.
  • Familiarity with ASHRAE, SMACNA, NFPA, and other relevant HVAC standards is required.
  • Experience in energy modeling and sustainable HVAC system design is desirable.
  • Ability to troubleshoot HVAC system performance issues and provide effective solutions is crucial.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and teamwork skills are essential for success in this role.
