Job Overview

The Retail Operations Director plays a pivotal role in driving operational excellence across assigned retail stores and dark stores.

This position involves end-to-end oversight of ordering, inventory management, receiving, storage, billing, and material movement. Effective leadership capabilities with process orientation and cross-functional coordination are essential for success.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operational Management:
    • Oversight of daily store operations to ensure smooth functioning.
    • Management of ordering, inventory replenishment, receiving, storage, and material movement.
    • Achievement of accurate inventory management and timely restocking.
  • Team & People Management:
    • Building, leading, training, and motivating store teams to achieve operational excellence.
    • Ensuring stores are adequately staffed at all times and capable of building teams for new units.
    • Optimization of manpower planning, rostering, and productivity on an ongoing basis.
  • Process & Compliance:
    • Implementation and monitoring of hygiene, safety, and compliance standards.
    • Coordination of timely renewals of licenses and regulatory requirements.
    • 100% adherence to product quality and handling protocols.
Requirements:
  • Candidate Profile:
    • Graduate degree in any field; Hotel/Retail Management preferred.
    • 4-5 years of experience in managing retail operations, distribution centers, or multi-store formats (FMCG, QSR, Food & Beverages preferred).
  • Skills & Competencies:
    • Strong knowledge of products and processes in retail/food operations.
    • Ability to manage blue-collar staff and build high-performing teams.
    • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and POS systems.
    • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and drive process improvements.
