We're looking for a talented Senior Associate - Compliance to review client files and perform due diligence checks, utilizing their expertise in risk analysis and communication skills. This role requires a strong analytical mind and the ability to work effectively with clients, both individually and in groups.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review client acceptance files accurately, ensuring compliance with applicable laws, legislations, policies, and procedures
  • Responsible for completing periodic regulatory reviews of client acceptance files within agreed timelines
  • Contribute to the performance of periodic regulatory reviews of client acceptance files, aligning with the Compliance file review budget set for the year
  • Prepare gap analyses to identify missing and requested CDD/KYC information
  • Manage client outreach processes in collaboration with Client Teams, ensuring timely and effective communication
  • Coordinate event-driven reviews for client entities in close cooperation with Client Teams
  • Assist with maintaining data quality related matters of Client Teams
  • Screen clients and connected parties
  • Undertake customer risk assessments
  • In consultation with Client Teams, create submissions and represent the team at Local Client Acceptance Committee meetings

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in banking or corporate services, or funds services
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in law, with excellent grades
  • A professional Anti-Money Laundering Qualification (ACAMS, CAMS, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of AML, KYC, Due Diligence processes
  • Ability to analyze financial sanctions and learn screening solutions
  • Proven analytical skills, through education or professional experience
  • Excellent written and verbal English skills
  • Presentation skills, with demonstrable experience in presenting information in small group meetings
  • Ability to problem-solve and check/review other people's work
  • Proficient MS Office/Excel skills

Estimated Salary: $80,000-$120,000 per annum, depending on location and experience
