Associate Manager – Testing and Monitoring

About the Team:

The PhonePe Financial Services Compliance team plays a crucial role in ensuring regulatory compliance. We develop and maintain a strong compliance culture by creating program infrastructure that identifies, measures, and monitors compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and rules globally. Our team collaborates closely with business, legal, risk, and audit functions to provide expertise on regulatory compliance matters, assess risks, and monitor control environments.

Role Description:

We seek a highly detail-oriented Associate Manager with a background in audit or compliance testing to oversee the Regional Compliance Testing program. This individual will report directly to the Manager, Compliance, and be based in Bangalore, India. The ideal candidate should have experience in Data Analytics, a strong risk and control mindset, and a proven track record of success in assessing compliance with regulations and policies.

Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will contribute to risk assessments, design control checklists, execute review steps, meet deadlines, and interact with senior business leaders and compliance professionals. Key responsibilities include formulating questions, leading walkthroughs, identifying controls, providing issue documentation, defining testing scripts, and coordinating with development teams.

Requirements:

We are looking for a highly motivated individual with at least 6 years of experience in audit, compliance testing, or monitoring. The ideal candidate should possess strong knowledge of Stock Broking business, preferably with experience in AML/OFAC. Additionally, they should have excellent communication skills, a passion for technical compliance, and a keen interest in conducting investigative reviews. Fluency in written and spoken English is mandatory, along with proficiency in Excel and SQL.
