Fleet Management Professional

The Fleet Manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing the operation and maintenance of the company's vehicle fleet, ensuring optimal working condition and compliance with regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Fleet Operations Management:- Develops and implements a comprehensive fleet management strategy.- Monitors and manages the day-to-day operations of the fleet, ensuring timely and efficient vehicle availability.- Coordinates with various departments to understand and meet their transportation needs.
  • Maintenance and Repairs:- Oversees scheduled maintenance, inspections, and repairs to ensure vehicle safety and longevity.- Develops maintenance schedules and manages relationships with service providers and vendors.- Maintains detailed records of vehicle servicing and repairs.
  • Compliance and Safety:- Ensures all fleet activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations.- Develops and enforces fleet safety policies and procedures.- Conducts regular safety training sessions and vehicle inspections.
  • Budget and Cost Control:- Prepares and manages the fleet department budget.- Analyzes and reports on fleet performance metrics to identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Fleet Acquisition and Disposal:- Assesses and recommends vehicle acquisitions to meet company needs.- Manages the disposal of old or obsolete vehicles in a cost-effective manner.
  • Technology and Systems:- Utilizes fleet management software to track vehicle usage, maintenance schedules, and performance data.- Stays updated on the latest fleet management technologies and integrates them into operations as appropriate.
  • Team Leadership:- Supervises and leads a team of drivers, mechanics, and other fleet personnel.- Provides training, performance evaluations, and professional development opportunities for fleet staff.
