Job Summary

C.H. Robinson is seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager Project Logistics to join our team. As a key member of the Project Logistics Senior Leadership team, you will be responsible for driving growth and retention of large Project Logistic Accounts.

Main Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategies to drive business growth and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Lead and participate in global deal teams to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to design and implement solutions for Project logistics services, including pricing models and strategies.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders to provide exceptional service and support.
  • Manage the performance and development of people leaders and their direct reports through formal and informal performance management, coaching, and feedback.
  • Assess, calibrate, and manage talent to align roles and resources appropriately and focus on individual and team development, career pathing, and succession planning.
  • Manage the team's reward and recognition strategies, including compensation administration, planning bonus and/or commission payments, year-end compensation planning, and implementing employee recognition activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Minimum 20 years of project logistics experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of people management experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Freight forwarding experience, preferably in project style cargo and breakbulk.
  • Previous sales experience.
  • Ability to travel 40-60% of time domestically and internationally.
  • Strong decision-making, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication (both written and verbal) skills.
  • Ability to build and develop strong relationships and manage multiple internal and external stakeholders with competing priorities.
  • Strong customer orientation and customer-focused service delivery.
  • Ability to adapt, learn, and become proficient in multiple systems and detailed processes quickly.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with strong ability to prioritize with little direction.
  • Strong prioritization and time management skills.
  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
  • Ability to manage tight deadlines and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Passion for providing exceptional service to internal and external customers.
