Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Oracle Database Administrator to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining large-scale Oracle databases for our applications.

About the Role:

The ideal candidate will have 6-12 years of experience in Oracle application database administration, with a strong focus on query optimization, cost analysis, and performance tuning. You will work closely with development teams to design data models, schema changes, and migrations, and will be responsible for writing, optimizing, and troubleshooting PL/SQL procedures, functions, packages, and triggers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement Oracle databases for large-scale applications
  • Perform performance tuning and optimization of existing databases to improve query response times
  • Troubleshoot database issues using various tools such as SQL Developer and Enterprise Manager
  • Collaborate with development teams to design data models, schema changes, and migrations
  • Write, optimize, and troubleshoot PL/SQL procedures, functions, packages, and triggers
  • Support customizations, extensions, and database objects related to Oracle Applications
  • Monitor and tune both application and database performance

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 5+ years of experience in Oracle application DBA role with expertise in Query optimization, cost analysis, performance tuning
  • Strong understanding of Oracle application database concepts
  • Proficiency in performing performance tuning techniques to optimize database queries
  • Experience working on complex projects involving multiple stakeholders (Backend, front end, Middleware and core DBA's)
