Database Administrator Job

This is a full-time role for an experienced Database Administrator. The Database Administrator will be responsible for database administration, replication, troubleshooting, and database security to ensure the smooth functioning of our databases.

  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Install, configure, and upgrade Oracle database software to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
    • Implement and maintain robust database security measures to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
    • Optimize database performance by identifying and resolving bottlenecks, tuning SQL queries, and configuring database parameters.
    • Troubleshoot complex database issues, including performance problems, data corruption, and system failures.
    • Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies using RMAN, ensuring business continuity and minimizing data loss.
  • Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, with a strong foundation in database concepts and administration.
    • Oracle DBA Experience: Freshers or experienced candidates with basic knowledge of Oracle database administration can apply.
    • Understanding of Oracle database architecture, including datafiles, control files, redo logs, and undo management.
  • Additional Requirements:
    • Familiarity with Oracle database concepts, including SQL and PL/SQL.
    • Understanding of database security best practices, including access control, encryption, and auditing.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex database issues.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Oracle Database: Experience with Oracle database administration, including installation, configuration, and maintenance.
    • SQL and PL/SQL: Proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL, with the ability to write efficient and effective database code.
    • Oracle Enterprise Manager: Experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager (EM), including configuration, management, and monitoring of database environments.
