Database Developer Role

We are seeking a skilled Database Developer to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to work on challenging projects and collaborate with experienced professionals.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Create, modify, and maintain database objects (tables, views, stored procedures, functions, triggers) using SQL Server.
  • Optimize T-SQL queries, indexes, and execution plans for high performance.
  • Develop cross-platform integration solutions with Oracle databases (PL/SQL).
  • Build and manage ETL pipelines primarily using SSIS; Oracle ETL exposure is beneficial.
  • Implement and monitor database security, backup, recovery, and high availability.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve performance issues, blocking/deadlocks, and optimize resource utilization.
  • Collaborate with application developers to design normalized and scalable data structures.
  • Support database upgrades, migrations, and integrations between SQL Server and Oracle.
  • Document standards, best practices, and database architecture across SQL Server and Oracle environments.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 6–7 years of IT experience with at least 5–6 years in SQL Server database development.
  • Strong expertise in Microsoft SQL Server (2016/2019/2022).
  • Hands-on T-SQL development (stored procedures, triggers, functions, views).
  • Proven skills in performance tuning, indexing, and execution plan analysis.
  • Working knowledge of Oracle PL/SQL (procedures, packages, functions).
  • Hands-on experience with SSIS or equivalent ETL tools.
  • Strong knowledge of backup/recovery strategies, high availability, and disaster recovery.
  • Experience with database version control and CI/CD deployment practices.
