Deep Tech Investment Role

The position involves sourcing and researching DeepTech startups across India's academic and research ecosystem.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Sourcing & Research: Identify DeepTech startups, build relationships with incubators and accelerators, conduct market landscaping and track trends in science-based innovation.
  • Due Diligence: Evaluate technology readiness, business models, IP, and founder-market fit, support technical and commercial due diligence, and prepare investment memos.
  • Portfolio Support: Work with founders to track milestones, financials, and fundraising readiness, assist in building post-investment value creation plans, and coordinate with incubators and labs for technical support.
  • Fund Operations: Support investment documentation, maintain internal databases, and assist in preparing presentations for limited partners and partners.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Curious and mission-driven individual with technical depth and financial capability.
  • Strong analytical, research, and communication skills.
  • Understanding of finance, financial modeling, and valuation skills.
  • Experience or interest in DeepTech sectors, including understanding TRL stages and commercial viability of research.
  • Prior exposure to venture capital, private equity, investment banking, or startup ecosystems (preferable but not mandatory).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A proactive, resourceful mindset and comfort working in unstructured, early-stage environments.
