Job Overview

As a seasoned IT professional, you will play a pivotal role in managing and optimizing Citrix Desktop Virtualization infrastructure. This exciting opportunity requires expertise in server and desktop virtualization, as well as proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Virtualization Management:
  • Collaborate with Level 2 teams to ensure seamless delivery of desktop and server virtualization services.
  • Implement permanent fixes for major incidents, minimizing downtime and ensuring business continuity.
  • Document Root Cause Analyses (RCAs) of major incidents, identifying areas for improvement and enhancing knowledge sharing.
  • Work closely with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to prioritize and implement major changes in infrastructure, driving innovation and efficiency.
  • Provide expert-level support to resolve incident/issues escalated by L2 teams, utilizing in-depth knowledge of Citrix XenApp & Xendesktop, XenServer/ESXi/HyperV/Nutanix.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Citrix Expertise:
  • Proficiency in Citrix Desktop Virtualization, including experience with Provisioning Services (PVS), Machine Creation Services (MCS), Storage Firmware (SF), and License Servers.
  • Strong understanding of storage and connectivity fundamentals, ensuring seamless integration with existing infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policies, and User Management, allowing for effective administration and management of user access.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, coupled with the ability to think critically and outside the box.
Experience and Education
  • A minimum of 3-6 years of experience in managing IT infrastructure, with a strong focus on Citrix Desktop Virtualization.
  • Relevant degree or certification in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Soft Skills
  • Communication and Teamwork:
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal/external clients and stakeholders.
  • Proven team player with strong interpersonal skills, capable of building and maintaining positive relationships.
