About the Role:

Design and Implement Virtual Desktop Solutions

As a Citrix Administrator, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining Citrix technologies to provide a comprehensive and cohesive virtual desktop solution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Solution Design: Architect end-to-end virtual desktop solutions by analyzing business requirements, assessing existing infrastructure, and designing scalable, secure, and high-performance architectures.
  • Citrix Integration: Design and integrate Citrix products, including Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, Citrix ADC, and Citrix Cloud with Azure virtual desktop services.
  • Azure Virtual Desktop Configuration: Configure and manage Azure virtual machines, session hosts, virtual networks, and storage to create and maintain Azure virtual desktop environments.
  • Identity and Access Management: Design and implement identity and access management strategies, including integration with Azure Active Directory, multifactor authentication, and role-based access controls.
  • Network Infrastructure: Design and configure network connectivity between on-premises infrastructure and Azure.
  • Performance Optimization: Optimize virtual desktop environments for performance, scalability, and user experience.
  • Security and Compliance: Implement security measures, including data encryption, access controls, and compliance requirements.
  • High Availability and Disaster Recovery: Design and implement high availability and disaster recovery solutions to minimize downtime and data loss.
  • Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Set up monitoring tools and processes to proactively monitor the virtual desktop infrastructure.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Several years of experience as a Citrix Architect designing and implementing virtual desktop solutions using Citrix technologies.
  • Strong knowledge of Azure virtual desktop services, including Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Active Directory, and virtual networks.
  • Proficiency in Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, Citrix ADC, and Citrix Cloud.
  • Experience in network design, including connectivity options and firewalls.
  • Familiarity with identity and access management concepts.
