Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Planner to join our team. The ideal candidate will develop and execute strategic plans that align with client objectives, leveraging research insights, and collaborating with creative and account teams to deliver impactful communication strategies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Research
    • Understand client briefs and objectives, identifying key challenges and success metrics.
    • Engage with department heads and leadership teams to gather insights and problem statements.
    • Analyze primary, secondary, and aspirational competitors, assessing their solutions and activities over the past 1-2 years.
    • Conduct primary research through structured formats or partner with research agencies for in-depth qualitative/quantitative studies.
    • Perform secondary research by analyzing e-commerce reviews, third-party feedback, and social listening.
  • Creating Brand & Campaign Strategy
    • Develop brand positioning, purpose, values, and key messaging frameworks, including Brand Key.
    • Formulate and execute a Go-To-Market (GTM) communication strategy for both offline and online channels.
    • Provide creative teams with insights to develop impactful campaign scripts and communication ideas.
  • Creating Digital Strategy
    • Work across owned, earned, and paid media strategies with vertical experts to meet brand and business objectives.
  • KPIs and Reviews
    • Establish KPIs and metrics for tracking brand and business progress.
    • Prepare review presentations and manage relationships with senior client leadership.
  • Leadership & Training
    • Develop strategies for new business development and scaling existing business opportunities.
    • Create and implement training strategies for planning and client servicing teams to enhance account management.
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communication, or a related field (Master's degree preferred)

Proven experience (3+ years) in strategic planning within a communication or advertising agency

Strong analytical skills with experience in consumer, category, and brand research

Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas effectively

Proficiency in digital strategy, including owned, earned, and paid media

Demonstrated leadership skills and experience in training and team development

Ability to manage multiple projects and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

Open to travel for research nationally and internationally
