Job Title:

We are seeking a seasoned digital marketing expert with expertise in ecommerce SEO, technical problem-solving, and content quality assurance to lead and develop our SEO team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in B2C e-commerce, a deep understanding of UK market trends, and excellent analytical skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with cross-functional teams (Content, Product, Dev, Data) to maintain and improve website rankings on Google and Bing.
  • Audit and measure the effectiveness of our content, providing actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Conduct technical and content audits following algorithm updates, and create delta reports to highlight content drops and gains.
  • Collaborate with the development team on template enhancements, site health, and recirculation opportunities.
  • Produce ad-hoc reports using tools like SEMRush, Sistrix, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, and Looker, providing insights to support decision-making processes.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest SEO and industry trends, tools, and best practices, continually testing and implementing new strategies.
  • Create a comprehensive link-building strategy, targeting high-quality and relevant backlinks to improve domain authority.
  • Regularly review and analyze the backlink profile, disavowing harmful links and identifying opportunities for new link acquisitions.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with industry influencers, bloggers, and webmasters to secure guest posts, mentions, and backlinks.
  • Work closely with content creators to promote content and earn natural backlinks through outreach, social media, and partnerships.

Desired Qualifications:

  • 10 to 15 years of experience in ecommerce SEO.
  • Strong analysis and performance insights.
  • Experience in web analytics and data visualization tools such as Looker, Looker Studio, and Google Analytics (experience with GA4 preferred).
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
  • Clear understanding of SEO best practices related to EEAT, CWV, and the requirements for success as an ecommerce brand.
