Chief Financial Operations Manager

Job Summary

This is a diverse role requiring a highly commercial and analytical individual who is prepared to take on multiple challenges whilst the business is in its growth stage. The role combines responsibility for managing financial operations as well as acting as an analyst for Commercial teams. The analytical part of the role involves measuring and analysing business performance including future projections, and disseminating this information through accurate dashboards and KPI's with subsequent comments and recommendations to stakeholders allowing them to make informed decisions aligned with financial objectives.

Main Responsibilities

• Financial Operations Manager: responsibilities include:
  • Planning and execution of audit of Internal Financial control over financial reporting and preparing internal audit report. Statutory audit, revenue audit, preparation of TDS return and Income Tax Return with support from advisors.
  • Responsible for all accounting related issues.
  • Monitor financial details to ensure that legal requirements are met.
  • Financial reporting and budgeting, reporting to senior management.
  • Review company financial reports and identify ways to reduce costs and manage budget.
  • Responsible for controlling income, cash flow and expenditure. Collecting, interpreting and reviewing financial information
  • Producing financial reports related to budgets, account payables, account receivables, expenses etc.
  • Developing strategies that work to minimise financial risk.
  • Responsible for preparing and managing the process of procurement, stock/inventory, maintaining records of debtors and creditors.
  • Responsible for payroll management.
  • Responsible for preparing and analysing monthly Management Information System (MIS).
  • Responsible for providing ROC compliances, annual filing, incorporation of company etc.
• Commercial Analyst: perform financial forecasting, reporting, and operational metrics tracking for both local and international businesses:
  • Daily sales reporting
  • Analyse financial data and create/maintain financial models for decision support.
  • Report on financial performance and prepare for regular leadership reviews.
  • Analyse past results, perform variance analysis, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Represent Finance within the Commercial team to ensure that business planning, accounting, and control are integrated into the decision-making process within the Commercial function.
  • Participate in Finance and multi-function project teams.
  • Work closely with the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Financial Controller to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Identify and drive process improvements, including the creation of standard and ad-hoc reports, tools, and Excel dashboards.
  • Benchmarking analysis

Person Specification Including Essential Skills and IT Skills

• Strong English language skills.
• Qualified accountant
• 5+ years pharmaceutical experience preferable
• International company experience
• Management experience to include liaison with internal and external stakeholders such as senior management, auditors, suppliers, banks, insurance providers, contractors etc.
• Highly analytical
• Proven track record of delivering results.
• Self-disciplined, results focused with a 'can-do' attitude.
• Strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
• Flexible approach to work to meet strict deadlines
• Strong Excel skills
• Experience using analytical tools such as Power BI and CRM systems
