Job Summary

Sell-side equity research is a dynamic field that requires analytical expertise and strong financial modeling skills.

This role will be responsible for building and maintaining complex financial models, conducting valuation methods, and developing accurate assumptions.

  • Develop and maintain complex financial models using scenario analysis
  • Conduct relative, DCF, SOTP, and other relevant valuation methods
  • Screen large datasets to identify investment ideas and assist portfolio managers in their investment decisions
  • Discuss investment ideas and stock updates with portfolio managers
  • Prepare earnings reviews, previews, attend conference calls, and management meetings
  • Develop pitch notes/presentations, industry and thematic notes
  • Update databases and collect news for analysis
  • Handle ad-hoc research requests and maintain communication with stakeholders
Key Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Required skills and qualifications include:

  • Excellent financial modeling and research report-writing/presentation making skills
  • Ability to think through drivers and KPIs across broad sectors
  • Good client relationship management skills and communication skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to handle multiple workflows with tight deadlines
  • Numerical abilities and error-free model building
  • Carrying out earnings sensitivity analysis
  • Providing own valuation views after carrying out relative or industry valuations
  • Writing skills with logical and structured writing
  • Building effective presentations and linking macro/industry analysis to the output
