Job Opportunity

We are partnering with a global leader in the pharmaceutical industry to identify an experienced senior manager of intellectual property. This position will report directly to the head of intellectual property.

This role involves working on a wide range of intellectual property matters, including product clearance, patent filing and prosecution, patent litigation, licensing, due diligence, trademark clearance, and registration for various regions. The incumbent will lead a team in a dynamic environment and deliver results that drive business growth.

The successful candidate will have a PhD or post-graduate degree in a relevant field, such as chemistry, biology, biotechnology, sciences or pharmaceutical sciences. They will also have at least 13 years of experience in a reputable global pharmaceutical company, with expertise in product IP clearances, patent drafting and prosecution, and ancillary areas.

Key responsibilities include developing and managing the company's growing IP portfolio, enforcing IP processes to protect intellectual property and third-party partner interests, and working closely with cross-functional teams to identify products for development and devise effective product development strategies.

The ideal candidate will be well-organized, detail-oriented, and a team-player capable of working in a deadline-driven environment. They will also possess fluency in English, both written and spoken, and have experience with regulatory exclusivity and interplay with IP exclusiveness.

 Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology or related field is required. Advanced degree (PhD) is highly preferred.

No less than 13 years of work experience in Intellectual Property Department of a global pharmaceutical company, with responsibility for Product Clearance, Patent Filing and Prosecution, Patent Litigation, Licensing, Due Diligence, Trademark Clearance, and Registration for various regions.

Expertise: Experience in managing the company's growing IP portfolio, enforcing IP processes to protect intellectual property and third-party partner interests, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify products for development.

Language: Fluency in English, written and spoken, as well as experience with regulatory exclusivity and interplay with IP exclusiveness.
