Senior Unified Communications Specialist

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Unified Communications Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of UC Products like CUCM, CUC, IM & Presence, and Expressways.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement Unified Communications (UC) architecture, including clusters, inter-cluster trunks, and high availability configurations.
  • Configure and troubleshoot SIP trunks, PRIs with carriers, including codec negotiation, SIP headers, PRIs, and call routing logic.
  • Set up advanced IOS gateway configurations (MGCP, H.323, SIP), dial peers, DSP resources, and survivability strategies for CUBE & Voice Gateway Configurations.
  • Understand Analog Devices, such as Analog Gateways, Analog Phones, Fax Devices, DTMF & Dial-tone behavior, FXS/FXO Ports.
  • Engineer end-to-end call flows across multiple platforms (CUCM, Unity, UCCX/UCCE, Expressway).
  • Migrate IPT solutions to cloud-based collaboration (Webex Calling, Cisco HCS) or deploy on UCS platforms.

Required Skills:

  • Capacity planning, scalability, and bandwidth management across WAN links.
  • Disaster recovery, redundancy, and failover strategies.
  • Integration expertise with third-party systems (CRM, ERP, SIP endpoints, SBCs).
  • Change control, governance, and configuration standards enforcement.
