Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Senior Web Application Developer to join our distributed engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining scalable, high-performance web applications while improving legacy codebases for better reliability and maintainability.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams in an asynchronous environment and contribute to robust technical solutions, comprehensive documentation, and best-in-class development practices.

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable applications using Ruby on Rails
  • Debug and enhance legacy systems with a strong focus on reliability, performance, and maintainability
  • Write clean, modular, and well-documented code following best practices
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive unit and integration tests to ensure code quality

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • 9+ years of professional software development experience, primarily with Ruby on Rails
  • Strong debugging skills and experience working with and modernizing legacy systems
  • Proficiency in PostgreSQL and relational database design
  • Hands-on experience with AWS cloud infrastructure and Kubernetes
  • Proven ability to write high-quality unit and integration tests
  • Comfortable working independently and asynchronously in a remote team setting
