Marine Structure Expert Opportunity

Seeking a highly skilled Marine Structure Expert with expertise in Civil Engineering and specialized knowledge in Marine Structures.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Lead the design, planning, and construction of marine infrastructure including breakwaters, jetties, quay walls, and docks for major port projects.
  2. Provide in-depth expertise in coastal and marine engineering to optimize the performance, stability, and sustainability of port infrastructure in challenging coastal environments.
  3. Conduct advanced structural and geotechnical assessments, ensuring the long-term durability and stability of marine structures under varying tidal and wave conditions.
  4. Work closely with multi-disciplinary teams, including project managers, consultants, contractors, and government bodies, to ensure successful execution of marine construction works.
  5. Ensure construction processes are aligned with environmental regulations and safety standards to minimize impacts on the coastal ecosystem and meet industry best practices.
  6. Provide on-site guidance, troubleshooting, and decision-making during the construction phase, overseeing teams to ensure quality and timely delivery of marine structures.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  1. 10+ years of experience in marine structures design, construction, and project execution.
  2. Post Graduate degree in Marine Structures or equivalent, with a strong academic foundation in coastal and marine engineering principles.
  3. At least 2 years of hands-on experience in coastal or marine construction, working on breakwater systems, jetties, seawalls, and other port infrastructure.
  4. Proficiency in marine engineering software (e.g., MIKE21, AutoCAD, STAAD Pro, etc.) for designing and simulating coastal and marine structures.
  5. Strong knowledge of coastal processes, including hydrodynamics, wave modeling, and sediment transport.
  6. Experience with risk management and ability to develop cost-effective and durable solutions for marine infrastructure.
  7. Proven leadership in managing multidisciplinary teams and delivering large-scale projects on time and within budget.
  8. PMP or equivalent project management certification is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
  1. B.E. (Civil Engineering), M.Tech or M.Sc. (Marine Structures).
  2. Experience in working on port development projects or coastal infrastructure projects in Kerala or similar coastal regions.
  3. Familiarity with local environmental regulations and sustainability practices.
