We seek a skilled expert in breakwater construction to join our team for a prestigious port development project in Trivandrum, Kerala.
The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in designing, constructing, and managing port and marine infrastructure, with a strong background in coastal and marine engineering.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Design & Construction of Breakwater Systems: Lead the design, planning, and construction of rubblemound, vertical, and hybrid breakwaters to ensure protection of port infrastructure.
- Project Management: Oversee port expansion projects, ensuring adherence to project timelines, quality standards, and budgetary considerations.
- Coastal & Marine Engineering: Apply expertise in hydrodynamics, coastal erosion, and sediment transport to optimize breakwater and shoreline protection systems.
- Collaboration with Stakeholders: Work closely with government bodies, environmental agencies, contractors, and consultants to ensure smooth project execution and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Safety & Environmental Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to HSE guidelines and sustainable practices to minimize environmental impact during construction.
The ideal candidate should possess:
- 10+ years of experience in breakwater construction, port development, or coastal engineering projects.
- Expertise in designing and implementing breakwater systems, including knowledge of materials, hydrodynamics, and coastal processes.
- Ability to manage large teams and collaborate across departments to meet project goals.
- Strong problem-solving skills in challenging coastal environments.
The following qualifications are highly desirable:
- B.E. (Civil Engineering) or equivalent degree.
- Coastal Engineering Certification (optional but preferred).
- Experience working in the Kerala region or on Indian port development projects.
