Job Title: Cybersecurity Investigator

A cybersecurity investigator empowers organizations to reduce breach costs, respond faster, and ensure compliance through AI-enhanced threat detection and containment.

This contract remote role involves conducting thorough investigations, analyzing malware, and compiling evidence related to cybersecurity incidents. The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in forensic analysis and evidence, malware analysis and analytical skills, and cybersecurity expertise.

Responsibilities include:

  • Conducting digital forensic investigations across various environments.
  • Utilizing advanced tools to collect, preserve, and analyze evidence.
  • Performing endpoint, memory, and disk forensics to uncover attacker actions, persistence, and lateral movement.
  • Developing targeted queries for investigations.
  • Correlating forensic findings with security alerts and incident response casework.
  • Documenting findings with clear timelines and technical evidence suitable for legal reporting.

Requirements include 2-4+ years of experience in digital forensics/incident response, hands-on experience with advanced tools, strong knowledge of Windows internals, registry analysis, and common attacker tactics, scripting ability to automate evidence extraction, and solid understanding of chain-of-custody and evidence preservation best practices.
