As a Platform Engineer, you will collaborate with OS Engineers to design, develop, test, and maintain custom kernel modules. You will also create portable code bases for applications, libraries, and tools across various *nix variants, automate build and test environments, and conduct thorough code analysis and reviews.

  • Develop custom kernel and kernel modules
  • Design portable code bases: Applications, libraries, tools between various *nix variants
  • Automate build and test environments
  • Conduct in-depth code analysis, code review of in-house code and 3rd party code
Key Qualifications

To excel as a Platform Engineer at Niksun, you should possess:

  • 1-3 years of Linux device driver development experience
  • 1-3 years of application development experience in Linux environments
  • Thorough understanding of Linux kernel internals, particularly memory management, filesystem, irq, DMA, IOMMU, and Networking
  • Proficient coding skills in one of C or C++
  • Hands-on coding skills in one of Bash, Python, or Perl
