Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Interior Components Engineer to join our team. As a leader in the Door Trim - Door Trims, Tailgate Trims, Door Claddings, Pillar Capping, Finishers team within Body Engineering, you will be responsible for the engineering design, technical development, and delivery of Interior components for new or ongoing Program Development (OPD) programmes through to Launch at the Manufacturing plant.

Your key responsibilities will include owning commodities and components of various projects, delivering commodity plans to quality, cost, and time, including maintaining the Worldwide Engineering Release System, and managing Change Requests, expenditure forecasting, and relevant supplier teams in support of delivery of programme milestones.

You will also be responsible for managing design verification test plans, including detailed planning of test and development stages through to sign-off and support Engineering test teams with rectification of issues. Additionally, you will resolve compatibility with A-surfaces for technical feasibility, surrounding component packaging, and vehicle attribute teams to develop designs that meet vehicle targets.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Production/Automotive Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the automotive industry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Strong knowledge of CAD software, particularly CATIA V5/V6/TCE/Digibuck.
  • Ability to create 2D sections and 3D geometry using Catia V5/V6/TCE/Digibuck.
  • Good working knowledge of Enovia, Teamcenter Engineering (TCE), Part release process, and system.
  • Engineering knowledge of defined component(s)/system(s) design, function, performance, production & manufacturing requirements.
