Learning and Development Leader

To spearhead the strategic and operational learning & development function across multiple locations in India, driving organizational capability, leadership development, and talent readiness. The role will lead the creation and execution of management development centers (MDCs), assessment centers, and capability building frameworks aligned with business goals.

  • Key Responsibilities
    • Design and implement a pan-India L&D strategy aligned with business transformation and growth.
    • Establish and operationalize management development centres and assessment centres for leadership pipeline development.
    • Drive organizational capability building across technical, behavioural, and leadership domains.
  • Talent Development Strategies
    • Develop succession planning frameworks and high-potential talent programs.
    • Create customized learning journeys for different employee segments.
    • Lead executive coaching, mentoring, and career pathing initiatives.
  • Learning Infrastructure and Innovation
    • Integrate digital learning platforms across locations.
    • Promote blended learning models including e-learning, workshops, simulations, and on-the-job training.
    • Leverage AI and analytics for learning impact measurement and personalization.
  • Cultural Transformation and Partnerships
    • Collaborate with plant heads, functional leaders, and HRBPs to identify learning needs and deploy solutions.
    • Act as a change agent for cultural transformation and continuous learning.
    • Manage external partnerships with universities, consultants, and tech providers.
  • Governance and ROI
    • Define and manage the L&D budget ensuring cost-effective delivery and measurable ROI.
    • Establish KPIs for learning effectiveness and report outcomes to senior leadership.
    • Ensure compliance with statutory and industry-specific training mandates.

Required Qualifications

  • Masters degree in social work or MBA/PGDM in human resources or organizational development from a tier 1/2 institute.

Preferred Experience

  • 10–18 years of experience in L&D, out of which at least 5 years in the automotive or manufacturing sector.
  • Proven experience in setting up MDCs/assessment centers and leading capability building programs.
