Job Overview

This role oversees the recruitment, training, and activation of agents to drive sales of insurance products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify high-potential agents through field activities, references, and local networks, then onboard them in a timely manner.
  • Maintain a pipeline of prospective agents and ensure their timely licensing and activation.
Training & Development
  • Deliver product knowledge, sales process, and regulatory training to agents, as well as conduct regular workshops and refresher training sessions.
Business Development
  • Drive sales of insurance products through the agent network by ensuring agents meet individual sales targets.
  • Help agents identify leads, conduct joint field calls, and close sales effectively.
Performance Monitoring & Reporting
  • Track agent performance on productivity, persistency, and premium targets, and maintain records of sales, commissions, and other metrics for senior management reporting.
  • Handle agent grievances and provide support with tools and resources.
Relationship Management
  • Build strong relationships with agents to ensure retention and loyalty.
  • Organize engagement activities such as recognition programs, contests, and rewards to foster agent motivation.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Graduate degree in any discipline (MBA preferred but not mandatory)
  • 2–6 years of experience in sales, preferably in insurance or BFSI
  • Local market knowledge and language proficiency are highly desirable
